Director Sebastian Cordoba's 'Through Thick & Thin' brings to light the real life problems that same-sex binational couples face in trying to stay together in the U.S. The film, which debuted July 16, 2007 at 'Outfest', the gay and lesbian film festival held annually in Los Angeles, puts a face on an issue that affects thousands of couples where one is a US citizen and one is not.

The situation creates pointless heartache for the couples involved. Frankly, I couldn't stop crying watching the film, an invitation into the homes and firesides of seven very special couples who 'just happen to be gay' and want to stay together. By all means, try and see this film. It may help you to have a more sympathetic attitude towards other people, and that's a good thing.
