Yuriko Etue's art is purpose-driven: 'When I create theatre sets, the mission is to entertain the audience; when I create murals for hospitals, the mission is to go comfort' and so on. Yuriko has been selected as one of five area artists to produce the 'Art Cans' Project, a civic project to create four-sided concrete trash cans inlaid with mosaic panels that will be unveiled at a civic ceremony at the Lioness Gallery, 3032 Sunset Blvd. on March 12th, 2005.
